FOUR COLOMBIAN DESIGNERS NOMINATED AMONG THE BEST IN HANDBAG DESIGN

The four women designers represent Colombia in the Fifth Independent
Handbag Designer Awards

Ana María Plata, Andrea Hurtado Rodríguez, Adriana Castro  and Adriana
Vargas Forero from INANAI, are the four designers representing Colombia in
the prestigious Fifth Independent Handbag Designer Awards presented by
InStyle Magazine and Handbag Designer 101.

The event is the only competition dedicated to this industry worldwide.
The 40 finalists were chosen from over 1200 entries submitted worlwide.
Finalists and winners are offered international recognition and a variety
of coveted prizes. The award ceremony will be held at the famous Time &
Life Building, located in downtown New York on June 15th.

“I’m extremely happy to represent Colombia in this event. I am specially
proud to have been chosen for this category and be able to showcase
Colombian talent in the fashion industry”, said Adriana Vargas Forero lead
designer for INANAI.

The IHDA celebrates talented, emerging accessories designers. Now in its
fifth year the event continues to grow, receiving submissions from more
than 30 countries in 2010. Previous award recipients include Katherine
Kwei, Adriana Castro and FOLLIS by Catherine Meyer.
