    The Philadelphia Soul won their first home game of the season by defeating the Orlando Predators, 61-51, in front of 9,094 fans at the Wells Fargo Center. The Soul got back to .500 on the season after defeating Doug Plank and the Orlando Predators for the second time this season.

    Nick Davila threw for 301 yards and seven touchdowns and the Arizona Rattlers hung on for a 56-49 win over the Chicago Rush at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill. Sunday.

    After a confusing and alarming three game losing streak, the Spokane Shock got their act together and won their first game in a month. They dropped the New Orleans Voodoo by a score of 65-54 in Spokane. Mistakes were made on both sides throughout the contest, but Spokane managed make the most of their opponent’s missed opportunities to come out with a win.

  • SaberCats Take a Bite Out of the Sharks, Win 57-36

    The San Jose SaberCats (6-2) won their fourth consecutive game, defeating the Jacksonville Sharks (6-3) 57-36 in front of 8,641 fans at Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena on Saturday night. Quarterback Russ Michna completed 16-of-23 passes for 258 yards, five touchdowns, no interceptions and also rushed for a pair of scores. On his fourth touchdown pass of the game, he hit the 300-mark for his career. San Jose’s defense continued its run of recent dominance, forcing three turnovers and holding their opponent to less than 40 points for the fourth consecutive week.

    The Tampa Bay Storm (6-3, 2-1) defeated the Pittsburgh Power (2-6, 1-0) Saturday evening at the CONSOL Energy Center, in front of a crowd 4,625 fans, by a score of 62-34 The game saw Storm quarterback Adrian McPherson rush for his 24th touchdown of the season, breaking the Tampa Bay Storm record for most rushing touchdowns in a season.

  • Blaze defense batters Barnstormers in 43-34 victory

    The Utah Blaze (4-4) defense provided a lockdown effort in a 43-34 victory over the Iowa Barnstormers (4-5) on Saturday night. The unit forced four turnovers on the night, holding the Barnstormers to just 150 yards in total offense.

    Despite closing to within four points of tying the game in the third quarter, the Cleveland Gladiators (2-6) could not catch up in the fourth, falling to the San Antonio Talons (4-4) by a 57-33 score Saturday night at Quicken Loans Arena. The loss comes on the heels of the Gladiators recording their first home win of the season the previous week against Chicago.
